Denis Power

Denis developed his mixed media style using paint, collage and found materials while studying Art in Waterford Institute of Technology, taking influence from his childhood memories, pop culture and environment. After graduating in 2008, Denis got involved in various arts institutions around Waterford such as the Waterford Healing Arts Trust through voluntary work.

Denis had his first solo exhibition in Garter Lane in 2010. And has had work shown in various group exhibitions throughout Waterford and Ireland, including the Winter Quintet show at Greyfriars.
In recent years, Denis has become increasingly infatuated with street art, incorporating spray paint into his studio work. He made his official street art debut with the Tramore Banksy Project in 2019.
Denis is a resident artist at GOMA, and is a co-founder of the Rogue Gallery, Waterford. He is currently working as a tour guide in the new Waterford Gallery of Art.
