Abstract Mixed Media

I explore the possibilities that abstract mixed media offers through experimentation of layering using a range of traditional and contemporary techniques.  Earth pigments, textured oils and acrylics are interwoven through materials including cloth, handmade paper, wood, metals, seaweed, photographs and other found objects in land and seascapes. Each layer is applied and then removed. It is through these experimental methods that my work achieves its translucent quality.
